Strange that so many star players have fouled out in a Ted Valentine-officiated game.

Delightful to see Kentucky's team of mercenary players and coach close to elimination.

The final 4:06 has taken 25 minutes so far.

Is WV normally this bad at making free throws late in the game?

The faces of the Wildcat fans behind Cal are fantastic.

    Bracket lamentation:

I had Butler in the regional final, Duke vs. Baylor, West Virginia beating Kentucky . . . and Kansas as national champion.

The CBS sports execs must be thanking their stars that Tiger's going to be in the Masters; he might make up for the craptacular ratings a FF with Butler, WVa, Duke and (hey I fanboi can dream) Tenn. will garner for the network.

CBS sports execs? Indy bars, restaurants and hotels weep that Kentuckians will not be coming to fill their joints, tickets or no.

On the other hand, I feel much better now about coming to town next weekend to visit my mother.

What, he's not staying four years?

Great great win by WVU ... and what a performance by Mazzulla.

I'd still look out for Huggins on the highways, though.

    People will watch, I'm sure.
America's ate up with college hoops.
Huggins, K, Pearl ... that's gonna be good TV and well-coached teams.
    Butler will be heavily-watched, too.
I really do think you will see decent ratings next weekend.
