I would love to see Tennessee and Baylor win tomorrow.

Two years after UCLA, Kansas and North Carolina made it, and a year after Connecticut made it and Michigan State and North Carolina played for the title, a Final Four completely sans blueblood programs would be really cool to see.

Yeah, what am I saying ...?
    I want Baylor, too.
Really bad. They deserve to represent Texas in the Final Four after they've climbed so high, from such a low point.
    Go Bears.

I'll bet you a month of your rent that the ratings will be a 5-year low.

And that's the beauty of sports. Too bad for the ratings, too bad for Indy merchants who were ready to gouge their customers. Best teams won, and it saves the NCAA from having to vacate a Final Four berth in a couple years when Kentucky goes on probation.

I am one proud Bishop Hendricken Hawk right now.
For a guy who has zero chance of playing in the NBA, Joe Mazzulla sure has left his mark on the NCAA tournament - he picked a great time to play the two best college games of his career (tonight and the near triple double against Duke two years ago).
There wasn't just lack of shooting on the UK side, there was also lack of coaching. Why didn't Cal go to the press when Mazz went to the bench with his fourth foul? Instead, the lead went from 10 to 16 before Cal WTFU.
Mr. Wall, if you're going one and done, you better find some defensive skills.

If CBS is worried about low ratings and the appearance of non-blueblood programs in the Final Four after promoting upsets, bracket busters and "Cinderellas" throughout the tournament, then maybe it's time for the NCAA to find a new broadcast partner.

Don't worry. It'll be on ESPN next year, with 96 teams.

Yeah, because no one will want to see if Butler - the underdog - can win a national title against some of the best teams in the nation.

Nope. No one will watch that...

Enough won't watch that CBS likely will be giving rebates to their advertisers when ratings fall about 20 percent below what was promised.

Prime-time ratings need casual fans. You mention "Butler" to a casual fan, and the response will be, "Who does that Butler guy play for?"

That's just it -- in a one-and-done format with all the variables -- like guys getting injured or a cold shooting night or having to play an exhausting and emotional two overtime game less than 48 hours before a game -- the best teams DON'T always win and this year is a great example of that.
