Roy Williams? Did you watch Carolina play at all this season? He did nothing with that team.

What's wrong with Gary Williams? He's fun because he sweats way too much.

Very true. But I feel like his team was absolutely invinceable last season. You can't discount his career because of one bad season.

By the way, Tyler Hansbrough Monday will sign autographs at NCAA's Bracket Town fan exhibit. Nice to see Psycho T putting in an appearance in Indianapolis once a while.

I haven't seen an allegedly elite coach quit on a team like Roy quit this year since Krzyzewski sat out with his case of the Myteamsucks.

Really - he quit on his team?

Is that why they are still playing in the Final Four of the NIT?

I mean, if he quit on them -- why would he even accept an offer to a meaningless tournament, much less get his team to play hard enough to advance deep into it?

You did not just reference the NIT.

    Yes, I did.

I think it is a bullshit tournament but that only strengthens my point - if Roy Williams really did quit on this team, why would he still be bothering to try and win a meaningless tournament?

They obviously needed the extra practice.

I thought the team quit on Roy, then he quit on them.
Obviously, playing some cupcakes in the NIT has made them all feel better about themselves.

The thing is, the way they played at the end of the season and at the beginning of the season puts them probably in the top 30 in the country. However, the middle of the season was so beyond ugly, and no one knows exactly why that is. Injuries and youth were definitely a factor, but a lack of heart was also very apparent numerous times. However, many of the young guys have played much better down the stretch (save the Duke game at Cameron Indoor) and with another influx of talent, they could be very good next year.

My problem with Williams this year is the young guys did not seem to get better as the season went on. They looked more clueless in February than they were in December.
