Guess you didn't see Shitbreath with his flying elbows, with his eyes pleading for an official to provide
    another kiss-kiss Dukie call.

Harbor scant doubt Duke will roll tonight, given their height and their marksmanship from outside.
But they received copious help, as we reach the conclusion of a decidedly non-vintage year . . .
excepting the outstanding, sustained excitement of this tournament, the format of which is
naturally headed for the trash heap in exchange for 30XXXXXXXX pieces of silver.

Forget politics. We need a Dukitics board.

There were four in the 2003 game between KU (Collison, Hinrich) and Syracuse (McNamara, Forth).

And there were five in the 2002 title game between Indiana (Coverdale, Fife, Hornsby, Odle) and Maryland (Steve Blake).

That Indiana team is definitely in the running for one of the worst ever to play in the championship game. Outside of Jeffries, they just weren't very good.

  9. They could really shoot it though...really, really shoot it.

But they definitely caught some breaks along the way. I thought they'd lose in the second round to USC, but the Trojans got upset by UNC-Wilmington. Then, after IU pulled the huge upset against Duke, they got Kent State in the Elite Eight. And IU shot lights out that day.

They just didn't have the 3-ball going in the final against Maryland (much credit to the Terrapins) and it ended up one of the more bland NCAA title games I can ever recall.

  12. That gray North Carolina isn't because Duke is there. That's actually Zag stuffing the ballot box in that state today.

Ed. note: No idea where Zag actually lives. Probably a militia compound in Idaho.
