When St. Mary's was announced as UR's opponent, on the live feed you could see Mooney's face going, "Oh shit." Anyone who saw them play knew they were not a 10 seed. But they play west of the Susquehanna so they must suck.

 

After seeing them play today I thought they looked like a six.

 

Good news: Used to go to St. Mary's games as a kid during the Bill Oates era and have several family members who went there.
Bad news: I had Villanova going against Kansas in the final.

 

Maybe Omar Samhan will give you his t-shirt. It's pretty damn big.

Did Butler really go about a half an hour without scoring?

 

This looks like the Butler that almost lost to lowly Evansville. Matt "Andy Samberg" Howard already has four fouls, and they can't get open for threes. Fortunately for Butler, it's been in this kind of situation so much (Howard fouled out of nine games, seven nonconference) that it shouldn't rattle 'em. Plus, Gordon "Rade Butcher" Hayward is the Bulldogs' best player, anyway.

 

Every time I check the game, either Butler's up 8 or losing.

 

I did too. My bracket is officially doomed.

C'mon Murray State. In my mind, Butler has crossed the line from cute mid-major that gets it done for more than a season to annoying Gonzaga wanna-be that feels its too good for its fellow midwestern mid-majors, despite the fact they still can't consistently avoid playing in front of a half-empty Hinkle Fieldhouse. Fuckabuncha Butler.

 

Well that was a butt-awful last possession
