I thought it was funny that CBS included a clip of a Webber dunk in the OSM montage they ran at the end of the preview show this morning.

Their best game cannot be topped by anyone outside of the NBA or the Olympics.

This is what you are supposed to do when you are a No. 1 seed and you are playing some medicore No. 9 seed.

There's no question that UNI is better than that Drake team from '08. Drake used a gimmick offense and a smart point guard to catch MVC teams totally unaware.

UNI turned Joe Tiller's old "basketball on grass" concept on its head. UNI plays option football on hardwood. If they get up on you, they're going to make it extremely difficult to comeback.

At one point in the season (the point where I did a preview on UNI), they were in the bottom 10 in the country in possessions per game, yet they were nowhere near that in scoring per game.

UNI is smart, it maximizes every possession it gets, it defends the shit out of you and makes few mistakes, their inability to get an inbounds pass in late in today's game notwithstanding. They have just enough moxie (Farokhmanesh today, Kwadzo Ahelegbe on another day) and just a tad bit of dirty (Lucas O'Rear) to not play robotic and to give themselves an edge when needed.

Are they a Final Four team? Doubtful. But they are a great example of how a mid-major team can compete on the national level without anything resembling a McDonald's All-American.

But they also needed help from Kansas and they got it.

If Kansas brings its "A" game, which they didn't, they win.

If the better teams always brought their A game, the NCAA Tournament would completely suck.

No not really - it is supposed to be a national championship tournament, meaning chalk is supposed to win.

Perhaps UNI forced Kansas out of its A game, no?

UNI is frustrating as hell to play against. KU looked like nearly every MVC team I saw try to beat UNI this season.

Maybe Illinois and Mississippi State do have a beef about not getting in.

    Wake is getting absolutely destroyed.
