I'm taking full credit for the top eight picks in the 2011 NFL draft.

And he's green as grass, and wasn't even near optimum game shape.

    Wait until he's himself.

I know I pimp this every year, but you have to take in a game at Memorial Gym in Nashville at least once in your life.

Tonight Maryland honors Gary Williams by naming the court at the Comcast Center for him, and Lefty Driesell ain't on board with that:

I think Lefty's got a point. I mean think Gary deserves the honor, but I also think it's a shame that the university hasn't done much to honor Lefty.

Lefty also has to be smart enough to know that, fair or otherwise, he will always be associated with Len Bias and the cocaine that helped kill him.

Hey, I like Lefty personally. But them's the facts.

Additionally, Gary was there longer, pulled the program out of the muck, is more recent and the Terps were a lot closer to being the UCLA of the east under Gary than they were under Lefty. Plus, Maryland won a national title with Gary at the helm.

Good for Gary. We can only hope that the students keep the T-shirts somewhat FCC appropriate, unlike a few years ago when Duke played at College Park.

MSU led LSU by just a point at half and it's just a 3-point advantage now, with 10 minutes to play.

    EDIT: State won 76-71

Anybody surprised by the result in Stillwater tonight has never seen a Mizzou game in the past 18 years or so.

Tim Izzo reaches 400 wins. They asked him what it meant afterward and he joked that he is only 500 and change from reaching Coach K.

Honestly, I'm surprised Izzo's total is that low. I figured he'd been at Michigan State longer than he has.

He's been at Michigan State for a very long time. He's been head coach for less than 20 years. So 400 wins is very impressive.

Before I looked it up I thought he was past 20 years and was somewhere around 500 or so, if not already past that milestone.

Jud Heathcote really overstayed his welcome, even if no Spartans fans will admit it.
