Running 2011-12 College Basketball thread

Two quick things about the beginning of the KU/Mizzou game:

Cameras for WWL seem to be at the highest point of the arena.

There seems to be a pyrotechnic haze hanging over the arena. Did they shoot fireworks in pregame?

 

Weed? Nah. Not there.

Didnt see any of the KU-Mizzou game.

2 things:

1. If anyone wants to listen to a Jayhawks game on radio, and have a fun little drinking game every time Bob Davis and Chris Piper say "We".......you will be piss-drunk in a matter of moments.

2, The last two charge calls: One on Robinson, one on Taylor...called by the same guy........were they good calls? Like I said, I was listening on radio, and of course Davis shit his diaper, and still haven't seen a replay yet......

 

All I know is, it'll be Natty Light on the coach's dime tonight.

 

He'll have to prove himself all over again once he gets to the mighty Southeast Conference!

 

I've watched the highlights of KU-Mizzou a few times now.

The last two charge calls were pathetic......especially the Robinson charge. From the C position.......all the way across the floor...........no........that has gotta be a no-call.

That being said, Robinson has to touch the ball the last few trips for KU.

 

I didn't see the penultimate charge. The last one....the actual foul call itself was a 50-50 play, sometimes called, sometimes not. But right before that, the guy fended off the defender with a forearm, which could have been called (I know it usually isn't).

 

Which usually isn't at any other point in the contest......NEVER called in a nut-cutter with less than a minute left.

Don Daily should be rather nervous the next time he draws KU.

I live in Kansas, so I was brought up since I was a wee lad to root Rock Chalk.

I'm a Texas Tech fan in football, for sure. Their basketball program hasn't even been anything rhyming with relevant since.........oh........ever.

Being a referee (high school basketball,baseball,football.....college basketball) forever.......I just enjoy seeing close, competitive, well-officiated contests that I am not involved with.

The last minute of the KU-Mizzou game tonight was not one of them.
