Ask Higgins or any other decent Big 12 official (no matter where the game was being played) if they are making that call in that spot, and you will get a unanimous no.

Purdue is now very, very, VERY small. And as omnipotent as that conference is, now (9 1/2 deep, really), that just doesn't work.

13-2 run in the last 2 and change, and Duke pulls it out.

When Rivers hit that dagger in Zeller's grill, I felt like Jack Buck: "I don't believe what I just saw!"

Instead, I screamed, "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!"

And I don't even like either of these teams.

What a great game. Never heard the Dean Dome as quiet as it got after the ball found nothing but net.

Zeller didn't exactly cover himself in glory there at the end, did he?

Tipped-in 3, missed FT and some WTF defense on Rivers.

I wasn't sure why Zeller gave Rivers so much room. It wasn't even like Rivers gave him a jab step or anything to get him on his heels. And the clock was running so low, he didn't have time to drive for a 2 anyhow.

You could tell the kid was looking for just enough room to take the 3 and win it in regulation.

Still a helluva ballsy shot by a freshman over a 7-footer on the home floor of his team's despised rival.

    ;D ;D ;D

If Zeller pushes the issue too soon, Rivers drives and probably gets a chance at a higher-percentage shot. Zeller should have gotten some help from a teammate.

Still ... wow. Not a bad ending ...

Haven't watched a whole lot of top-40 hoops this year.

Had about five minutes there that reminded me why I should watch more.

Just watched the highlight again, and Rivers literally took a big step back behind the arc with less than 3 seconds left.

While I understand Zeller had his hands full and probably didn't know exactly how much time was left, at that point it was obvious it was going to be a jump shot. Rivers didn't really have enough time to ball-fake and get anything other than what would've been a very hurried 2.

If I'm Carolina, I'm smothering every 3-point shooter and the absolute worst I'm coming out of that final sequence is tied and going to OT.

I love seeing Roy Williams lose, he is a douche and a half.

But I also hate seeing Duke win. can;t have your cake and eat it, too. (Horrible defense by Zeller after a good switch. What was he thinking? He is like seven feet tall.)
