Xavier's likely in. Someone else is getting it (either Drexel or South Florida)

If there's a shred of justice left on this earth, Muskies are NIT flotsam . . . until they learn how to conduct themselves in public places.

I'm pretty confident you'll get to see both. The ACC was up this year, though.

And, Ben Hecht, do you advocate not picking Cincinnati, either?

Cincinnati cleaned up their act. X didn't bother.

Didn't see anything mentioned on this, but Larry Eustachy had a few words during his postgame presser Friday after Southern Miss loss. I guess someone asked about Southern Miss' status as a potential bubble team (good record and RPI, but from a perceived weaker conference and they went 5-5 their last 10 games, which caused the RPI to slip from No. 7 down to around 20, plus a loss in the C-USA semifinals).
He had a pretty good rant that's worth sharing.

And the meat of it from the press conference transcript:

We'll call that a 6 on the Pat Knight scale.

Yeah, I had just read the transcript. Didn't see the video until I went to post and figured it might be on YouTube. It could've been an all-timer if he was a little more vocal, instead of looking like he'd drank a case of Natty Light the night before.

Birdies tell me Seton Hall is IN. We'll see how smart the birdies are.

At least Nantz doesn't have cheeseball lines in the can for the Big Ten final.

Notice when the final 3-point attempt clanged off the rim that almost all of the UNC fans stayed rooted in their seats ... not moving an inch. It was as if they believed that some ref (where's Froggy when they needed him?) would come out of nowhere to call a foul and give them three throws.

And Virginia Tech's NIT bubble has also burst.

Who was the St. Bonnie's player that got the team suspended in 2003 and they forfeited two games? I have done searches for it online and can't find a name. I saw it mentioned in the AP story and wanted to get some background on it...no dice.
