I'm about to drive to KC and chain myself to Dayton Moores desk until he gives Kyle fucking Davies the boot.

He can stay as long as he wants. :D

Really, the Tigers have let him off the hook a bunch this game. They should have at least 2-3 more runs.

It appears the Yanks are now really upset with the Rays because the Yanks wanted to play a doublheader tomorrow for tonight's rainout and the Rays said no.

The Rays have been taking every opportunity they can to fuck the Yankees since spring training of 2008. I believe a Ray bowled over some Yankee backup catcher in a game. The Yanks went apeshit. Joe Maddon basically told them to fuck off. New TB attitude which carried over. They're still doing it. And the bully Yanks are still getting pissed when the Rays don't bend over for them.

That O's pitcher got a pretty good right cross in on Big Papi and it didn't faze him a bit.

The Yankees have been pissed at the the (Devil) Rays for longer than that.

In '04 they didn't show up in New York because they didn't leave Tampa bay in time ahead of Hurricane Frances. (Or because they wanted to stay with their families.)

Randy Levine, the Yankees' President, wanted MLB to declare a forfeit.

The Rays, unlike almost every other team in baseball, were also famous for not playing day games on getaway days. They didn't want the smaller gate a day game would attract and would force teams to play a night game.

The Yankees were especially pissed by this. They even refused to play a couple of day games on getaway day in New York against the Rays as payback. And the Rays had the gall to complain about it.

This one will put the Yankees over the top.

The Rays were willing to play a straight doubleheader, but not a day/night. That's such bullshit because the Rays would never, ever give up a weekend gate against the Yankees. (Yes, I know they play indoors. I'm just saying.)

The Yankees have a sellout. They're trying to get through Jeter's 3,000th hit, which they & MLB would prefer to have happen in Yankee Stadium. And, they know Jeter has friends and family in town for this series.

It's a total lack of class on the Rays behalf. If Vince Naimoli was still in charge, I wouldn't be surprised. I expected better out of Stuart Sternberg and Mat Silverman.

(And yes, I also know it's up to the players, but the team could have influenced them. It also, surprisingly, shows a lack of respect from the Rays players for Jeter.)

I almost feel bad for the Yankees. Almost.

    In other words, fuck 'em.

We were one out in the Reds/Brewers game away from the first-place Pittsburgh Pirates.

I thought the CBA mandated day games on travel days if the visiting team had a flight longer than two hours on their way out of town. Or is that only if there is a game the next day?
