Oh, I agree with you 110% there.

But I'll be damned if I'm going to point and snicker at a guy because he shows some character.

If players and Owners can justify strikes as business, so can fans.

I wonder if he ever privately worries he might get hurt, wake up in the hospital without the use of his legs, and look out the window to see her and A-Rod making out in the rain.

That's one thing. Calling the guy a moron because he doesn't is something else.

If the guy who caught the ball wanted to be the biggest hero in America, he would have given the ball to the kid whose dad died in Texas.

But even with the Yankees offering that stuff, I would have tried for the money. For what the Yankees are offering, he could buy that with the money he would make.

I think at this point I'm just glad that A) he caught the ball cleanly and B) there wasn't a huge fight over the ball and C) there will be no lawsuits saying the guy stole the ball from someone in the scrum.

It wasn't for a lack of trying. Next time you see the replay, pay attention to the left side of the screen. Somebody tried to knock it out of the guy's hand when he holds it up. He's lucky he weighs about 250 pounds, and that his dad (the guy with a Dimaggio jersey with the name on it ... oy vey) was alert enough to jump on top of him when the local idiots go nuts.

If Jeter gets a triple this inning, Michael Kay might have an on-air orgasm.

Like I said. Glad he caught it cleanly. Love how he held it up and then realized what he caught and quickly secured it against his body lol
