All Star Game ratings were a record low (beat the record from 2010): http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-07-13/baseball-s-all-star-game-yields-record-low-television-ratings-for-fox.html

Maybe I read it wrong, but it looks like it's at least $50,000.

Modell's is pledging five percent of Yankee sales, with a minimum of 50K.

Don't think it's $50K AND five percent of sales.

I thought that was quite beautiful and sad. What a shit deal it is to be an Orioles fan these days.

I've seen a few of these guys publicly lose their religion before, but I agree, there was something different about that one.

Joakim Soria's no-trade list: Braves, Dodgers, Phillies, Red Sox, Rockies and Yankees.

    Wow.

Things I don't want to do: Pitch at altitude. Not get paid. Win.

As somebody mentioned elsewhere, this might be a ploy to squeeze out a few more bucks in waiving the clause.

Probably. Based on current revenues the Red Sox, Yanks and Phillies would probably the 3 teams most likely/willing to send some cash to get a no-trade waived.

    Good start . . . more taxable income, but a good start . . .

DJ should still step up, here. It's a no-brainer.
