The NY Post's gamer mentioned this.

It was 9-7 by the time I got home from work, so I didn't see the first inning. I was pretty surprised they scored 8 runs without an HR.

Good for them if they were stealing signs. Why wouldn't you?

I might have dropped it after scoring 8 run in the first so the yankees didn't pick up on it. They might have scores 8 more in the first inning tonight.

Buzz Bissinger's La Russa book has some good under-the-fingernails stuff on stealing signs. I don't know why any team wouldn't do it. There seems to be an art to it. But as the guy in the piece wrote, the Yankees gave up more runs after Martin supposedly changed up the signs.

They must not have changed the "make an error on the next ball hit to you" sign.

It was 80s night at the Rogers Centre last night. Rogers - who owns the Jays and Sportsnet and my left testicle and perhaps even yours - carried the theme to the broadcast also.

man, if they were stealing signs the blue jays really are a limp-hitting team. not only did they fail to hit a homer during the 8-run 'explosion,' they only hit a couple of balls hard. if not for the error machine nunez at third for a-rod, colon would've pitched a scoreless first, facing just four batters.

baseball is becoming as paranoid as the nfl, whose coaches see spies EVERYWHERE. 'cause it makes 'em feel better after they get their asses kicked. same mentality pitchers and catchers have. 'how else could they have hit those great pitches i threw/called for?' ??? ??? ???

Was Carlos Marmol's performance last night perhaps the worst one-inning outing by a good pitcher in major-league history?

Three straight walks (on 13 pitches!) and then a three-run double (actually a two-run double and an outfield error) without getting an out. Turns a 2-0 Cubs lead into a 6-3 loss.

Carlos Marmol melting down again today. Cubs have just relieved him with Sean Marshall, so he can try to give up a HR to Mike Stanton.

That worked out a tad better than you expected it to for the Cubs.

    That makes sense.

I didn't tune in until around the 4th inning. I thought that may have been the case, but they didn't reference (that I noticed) and I didn't see "throw back" uniforms, so I wasn't sure.

(They didn't wear throw backs, did they?)

It would have been cool if a couple of their advertisers had run old ads. Or, even if the jays just ran a couple of old ones for fun.

Now, what's with the pronunciation of Mazda?

The MLB Extra Innings package is still doing a free preview.

Man, those Blue Jays are so classless to even think about trying to steal fans from the great and powerful Yankees.

Figured that would have been you're response.
