No National League team has paid the luxury tax since it was enacted in 2003.

Yea, Tigers let him off the hook a couple times. Left the bases loaded once.

And in another brilliant managerial move by Jimmy Smokes, he brings in a rookie (Chance Ruffin) making his major league debut to face the bases loaded in the fourth (or maybe fifth) inning.

Cuddyer showed a little game last night. His fastball looked to have some pretty good movement on it.

Cuddyer's been all over the field this year. They should just let him do a Cesar Tovar later in the season:

I remember Cesar Tovar doing a Cesar Tovar. That was tres' cool.

Bert Campaneris did the same thing, among others. (buck? Who else did it, buck?)

Yeah, Campy did it first, but Cesar struck out Reggie :D

Hey Dick, dunno what's going on with Tony O reference above, but he was my favorite Twin growing up. HOF if not for the knee.

    From Tovar's obit in 1994:

Cesar Tovar, one of only two major leaguers to play all nine positions in a game, died of pancreatic cancer on Thursday. He was 54.

Shane Halter (Tigers) and Scott Sheldon (Rangers) both did it in 2000. As of then at least, those were the only four players in ML history to do it.

The Twins aren't going anywhere this year. I'd love to see Cuddyer do it late in the season.
