    CC's retired the first 14 batters. 9 K's, including the last 5 batters.

    Strikes out the leadoff batter in the 6th, and then a rain delay.

    And we're back w/ CC back on the mound.

    Pops up the first batter after starting him out 0-2. Was one strike out away from the AL record of eight straight K's.

    I figured the rain was mother nature's way of saying that even she couldn't take the Mariners' pathetic offense any more.

    Strikes out Ichiro to lead off the 7th.

    Maybe the toughest out in the lineup.

    As good as CC is pitching this year he does not stand a chance at winning the CY Young.
