Nope, he was pulled because of the trade. He individually said good bye to all the guys in the dugout after the inning. I suppose he could have asked for that inning, but why in the world would the Rockies do that if they knew he was gone? The Denver Post reported half an hour before the game that he was all but gone.

    According to the WWL

Jimenez was pulled after one inning because the Rockies and Indians have reached agreement on a deal that would send the 27-year-old righthander to Cleveland for pitching prospects Drew Pomeranz and Alex White, and first baseman Matt McBride. The Denver Post reported the Rockies also would receive an unnamed fourth player in the deal.

All that was missing out there were the clowns bouncing out of the Volkswagen and spraying everyone with water. You let that guy pitch ... one inning and then pull the trigger? That's a joke.

As for the trade, bad move by the Rockies, and the Rockies telecast is just missing the soft tinkling piano music like there's a death in the family. Not much to "Root" tonight with this crew.

And like I said, the DP reported the imminent trade a good half hour before the game. So what the hell was up with that inning? Complete joke.

SI had it before saying he wouldn't even start. There was a reliever warming up behind him, the KOA crew said. WTF is that? If you're doing that, just scratch him and have him start Sunday.

And this is a bad move by the Rockies. It's not sitting well. As well it shouldn't.

I'm an Indians fan and the prospects the Tribe gave up are studs, but if one of them becomes what Ubaldo already is, it's a successful career. I'll take the sure thing over two hypotheticals.

    Eggggg-actly.

O'Dowd needs to go. So does ownership. F-ing clueless.

I'm at a loss. At the beginning of the season it's Ubaldo, Tulo and Cargo for the foundation of a championship future. So after a bad 100 games, which happen in baseball especially for the Rockies, they blow up a third of the foundation?

He had a rough first couple of months (something was up) but had turned it around lately. They got a good number of prospects but who knows if any materialize. I'm not sure what the immediate or even near future benefit is of this.

At least he got that last inning.

Just shows management is clueless with less oxygen out here. Perplexing and, frankly, moronic. They had Jimenez on the cheap for the next three years. As mentioned, a subpar 100 games, no doubt, for a team picked by many to win or at least contend in the NL Worst.

Dude, I don't even WATCH baseball and I know Ubaldo is good. I'm psyched!

Yes, but how does it affect the Punto? That's all that matters, frankly.
