Nyjer Morgan is the biggest hot dog in Brewers history by several hundred miles. He is a perfect fit for the fans of Wisconsin, who have a high tolerance for quirkiness.

He's the second one to hit it to the third deck at the new Stadium. Russell Branyan also did it when he was with Seattle.

Thank you. Look, it's one thing to point out that Starlin Castro, a 21-year old rookie, may be drifting off in terms of attention span during games. It's another to harangue on it for SEVEN DAMN MINUTES.

Bobby, all I think of when you analyze games like this is the Groucho mask you wore in the dugout after being ejected. You lose ALL credibility in my book.

By the way, nice SI cover for Milwaukee fans. Now if the Brewers lose the division... :)

Y'all are dismissing this like it's some minor thing.

The Cubs shortstop, the backbone of the fucking defense, had his BACK TO THE PLATE WHEN A PITCH WAS THROWN.

Now, maybe your hatred for Valentine is overriding the fact that STARLIN CASTRO HAD HIS BACK TO THE PLATE WHEN A PITCH WAS THROWN.

What the fuck is this, tee-ball? That shouldn't happen after the age of 10. I doubt you'll see it in the LLWS. Do that shit in JV baseball and you're benched, at least.

The only more egregious on-field sin I can think of is throwing a game. And you Cub fans ought to be saying five Hail Santo's that the pitch wasn't hit in Castro's direction... because that would be one piece of video that would never fucking die.

Giants claim Heath Bell on waivers, per Buster Olney via Twitter:

Also reports that Jim Thome and Jason Kubel have been claimed, but not sure by whom yet.

Hopefully all of them went to the Giants. They have basically five players -- four starting pitchers and Sandoval -- and everyone else in the lineup, rotation and bullpen could be replaced by someone better on a waiver claim. Miraculous that they're even sniffing contention at this point.

I'm pretty sure Thome and Kubel were claimed by AL teams, who would have first priority. I'm guess White Sox for at least one if not both (to keep them from the Indians and/or Tigers).

And now the Rockies have claimed Wandy Rodriguez:

What a complete disaster that would be for Rodriguez if he gets traded there. The guy lives by his curveball.
