Pretty much what I had in mind. Can see an infield of Belt, F. Sanchez, Crawford and Sandoval; Posey behind the plate (if they don't convert him to 1B or OF) and a rotation of Lincecum, Cain, Bumgarner, Vogelson (assuming he hasn't caught lightning in a bottle) and TBA for starters. Exit papers may be in the works for J. Sanchez and Zito.

The Zito release is everyone's fantasy, but I don't see them doing it when they still owe $46 million over the next two years. At his best he is somewhat capable of being a #5 starter, and since they're already invested and don't have someone in the minors begging to be there yet, they have to see where that goes.

Which is weird, because despite conventional wisdom that women are pregnant for nine months, it's actually 40 weeks. So I'm going to wager someone who enjoyed a victory orgasm right as Brian Wilson struck out Nelson Cruz is going to get cheated in this contest.

I have always thought that the loss of F. Sanchez was a big loss. He got some big hits last year and in the playoffs. Combined that with the loss of Posey is huge. Cannot fault Sabean for that. The hole created by Posey was tremendous, he was the No. 4 hitter and now he's been replaced with two utterly forgettable No. 8 hitters, Whiteside/Stewart, who pose very little threat at the plate.

The future remains bright though, Lincecum, Cain, Bumgardner, Romo, Lopez, Wilson, Casilla on the hill (plus Vogelsong, hoping he's not a flash), and a lineup of F. Sanchez, Posey, Panda, Belt and 4 others who are NOT Rowand/DeRosa/Tejada/Huff.

By my math, 9 calendar months is about 39 weeks. That's about average for non-first pregnancy.

5,000 would be generous for this O's crowd.

And about accurate for the number of shitty relievers the Jays have trotted out there this season. (Casey Janssen being a notable exception.)

Just been listening to Cole Hamels on Patrick. He seems like a pretty cool guy.

That was the most humorous game I've watched this season. The Orioles are great entertainment.

And now that they're all but out of the race, the Giants think it's safe to finally DFA Tejada.

Dodgers and Angels both had eight-run innings last night, almost concurrent. Guys in the office were getting neck pain going from TV to TV watching the runners cross the plate. It was like watching a tennis match.
