So much for that ... leadoff double in the 8th.

    Still, hell of an effort.

White Sox starting pitching hasn't been the problem this year.

Supposed to rain all day here, 1-2 inches tonight. So much for the Second Coming of Jee-SUS. It's a sign, I'm telling you, a sign.

Supposed to be nasty most of the rest of the week, too. How will they go about making up these games? LA to DC ain't exactly an easy trip. Especially with the Nubs having only one more scheduled off day.

Unless the Dodgers make a rather miraculous playoff run, I doubt the games would need to be made up.

Nothing was more enjoyable last night than hearing Hawk's reaction to that double by Valencia.

Don't think Strasburg's ever pitched a professional game in great weather. It's uncanny.

So ESPN sexual harrassment alumnus Karie Ross is Dave Dombrowski's wife, eh?

Yes to both. Seattle needs to score more runs. Not scoring is what made pitchers like Fister junk. I'm sure Doug's going to turn to his agent and go "sign me long-term, I don't care the price!"

I'll tell ya what ... Verlander/Fister looks like a very, very good way to open a short series.

Scherzer and Porcello behind them? We've seen worse.

If you're talking about facing an all right-hand hitting lineup? Sure...
