He went and defended a teammate, no, that is not wrong. Good for Puljos, too bad he didn't knock Morgan out. Letting Morgan get away with throwing tobacco at your pitcher is wrong.

He was just protecting Carpenter from the well-known dangers of second-hand smokeless.

    Point, LongTimeListener.

And while I hate pointing out petty stuff, it's driving me up a wall.... Pujols.

So you think it is ok for someone to throw chewing tobacco at your pitcher and have nobody respond?

Morgan's a punk and deserves an ass kicking.

I think he's saying it's not OK for you to think the Cardinals' first baseman is a man named Puljos.

So you think Morgan had no right to respond to Carpenter's f-bomb?

    Bull.

It's high time someone on the Brewers has the balls to stand up to the Cardinals' taunting.

(And the tobacco wad was tossed in the pitcher's general direction, it's not like it hit him.)

He can respond all he wants, if he wants to be a man about it go the mound and have a word with Carpenter.

Morgan played minor league hockey (where a lot of this behavior probably comes from). He can probably handle himself in a fight.

Carpenter has become a big whining wuss in the space of three or four years.

and if had done that on the ice he would have got his ass kicked. As for Carpenter, playing with Larussa seems to do that to players.

    My original point remains.

If you're the franchise hitter, you don't get in the middle of it. Because if you get hurt, it wasn't worth playing the tough guy.

I'm sure you'd be all for Roy Halladay diving headfirst into the middle of a brawl at the mound.

You're thinking more about being the alpha dog than about being smart.
