I think teams/players are so sick of the Cardinals' shit they'll go out of their way to make the point, by now.

This organization has become a joke.

They really are little bitches, aren't they?

They are whiny bitches, agreed. I still think Pujols was justified in his reaction though.

It's hard to remember when a team embarrassed itself so regularly with these kind of pissant complaints. The fish rots from the head down.

    Speaking of Pujols:

    Again... point, LongTimeListener.

EDIT: And for the record, Morgan did act like a punk. But the fucking Cardinals have been doing it for years.

How long would Morgan last if he played in the AL East? Think the Red Sox or Yankee pitching staffs would stand for his shit 19 times a year?

Baseball stands for Yankee and Red Sox pitchers taking about 40 seconds (or twice that in Papelbon's case) between pitches. The attitudes of those two admittedly fine teams are something else the sport could do without quite nicely.

About three weeks left in the season. Time to update the only real pennant race left ... the race to 100!

    Top contenders:

    1. Houston (48-95) -- just a matter of when, not if. They might reach 110 losses if they get on a "hot" streak.

    2. Baltimore (57-85) -- a longshot, especially after eking out a win against the Yanks yesterday. After this weekend against .500 Tornoto, it's all teams with winning records, though.

    3. Minnesota (59-84) -- sinking fast, but probably not fast enough. Would need to lose 16 of their last 19 games, and with the Mariners, Royals and Indians on the schedule, not likely.

    4. Chicago Cubs (62-81) -- they're the Cubs. Anything's possible, including a season-ending 0-19. At least you can still "enjoy" Old Style beer while they close out another lousy season.

Sad thing is the Twins were actually in striking distance in July in that shit salad of a division.

I was listening to a Yankees 4-2 victory this week that took about 2 1/2 hours to play. The same day, the Red Sox lost 10-0 in about 3:20. A day or two before, the Yankees beat Boston 4-2 and took 4 1/2 hours to do it.
