Tigers can't lose right now! Even with Penny allowing four runs in the first!! Smells like 2006 all over again, or maybe that's my pizza in the oven.

Can't wait to get me some good slime dogs at Wrigley when I'm there week after next!

If you didn't see Jeff Francoeur's catch in Seattle last night, go check out the vid. Jeff Francis either needs 10 plays like that a game, or a 400-foot field from pole to pole to keep his ERA below 7. That guy is done.

As a Braves fan, I don't miss Francoeur at the plate, but he was always fun to watch on defense. He also threw out Oakland's Michael Taylor at first base on a one-hopper to right the other day.

The amazing thing is that the woman who was running the "Ichimeter" hit count sign almost snared it with her glove. In fact, the Mariners announcers were wondering if she tipped the ball. Hard to tell from the replay. Either way, great catch!

The expresson by the woman to the right of the Ichiro-meter is great as well.

Congratulations to Joe Mauer on hitting his 3rd! home run of the season today. Brandon Inge also hit his 3rd homer of the season in that game (he was sent down to AAA for part of the season, while Mauer makes about $8 million per homer).

Anyone else rooting for the Rays to overtake the Red Sux? Only 4.5 games back!!

Meanwhile tonight, the Angels pull away from the Yankees thanks to a home run by .... Jeff Mathis. Commences heads exploding.

The Yankees' offense looks tired with the scheduling issues from the last few days.

Sad to hear that Jesse Jefferson, an original Blue Jay, passed away earlier this week of prostate cancer.

He pitched the first MLB game I ever saw live:
