    Because Lowe is one of the team's starting pitchers, and they have to start somebody.

    Now if Lowe doesn't come out of the game the next time his spot comes up in the batting order, then I'd agree with you.

    In beer league softball, that's the best way to build a lineup.

    Not sure it would work in MLB. You'd probably need for everyone to hit for more average and for your home run hitters to hit a a lot more home runs.
