A songwriter friend of mine (who's written a number of country and pop tunes you may know) today on Facebook:

If that was the end for Mark Buehrle tonight, it was a hell of a good one. I was one of the several dozen at the park tonight, seven shutout and a great ovation with a curtain call. Hope to have him back, but that would be a nice sendoff.
