Not sure you're aware of what just happened in the eighth.

Anyway, will they roll out Rivera for the bottom of the inning?

If they don't, intentions are clear. If they do, color me shocked.

    Wow, really?

They currently lead the game. "Laying down" is a bit much.

And if the Brewers had gagged an 8 1/2 game lead (which they did do over a much longer period of time in '07), they'd deserve whatever fate they get.

It's not like this is exclusive to baseball. It happens during the final week of the NFL all of the time. It's why you don't put yourself in a position to get fucked.

Nice rhetorical device of setting up a likely scenario as if it proves your point when it clearly doesn't. They have a real interest in resting their closer outside of your theory.

They originally said they wouldn't pitch anyone who was going to be on the playoff roster.

Logan is on the roster for sure. Ayala too. Either Hughes, Burnett, or both will be on the roster.

They played the game harder than they said they would.

So if the Yankees close this out how long do they wait to call the game in Baltimore?

    5 minutes? 10 minutes?

    LOL.

Think Bud is on the phone with the Crew Chief right now?

My 30-second search suggests that 10 pitchers in a nine-inning game ties a major-league record, and that 11 pitchers in a game of any length has only been done once.
