    And the Yankees failed to score with runners on the corners and nobody out ... My play by play said Golson was out on a fielder's choice. How did that happen?

    Sox now 77-1 this year when leading after eight.

    Fitting that Crawford failed to make the play that lost the season.

    It's really hard to choke away the season as badly as the Red Sox - and to an extent, the Braves - just did.

    Now the Yankees may as well pitch A-Rod. Boston doesn't deserve to survive.
