    Didn't pretty much every MLB "expert" pick Boston to win the East and represent the AL in the WS?

    Guess this proves simply throwing around bags of free-agent cash doesn't always equal championships ... just add that to the list of ways in which the Sox are sadly inferior to the Yankees.

    Apparently Piotr was the AP writer who quoted Obama earlier in the week.

    He's very accurate with the quote, the cadence, and the accent.

    there are some great posts on there. smilingjoehesketh thinks crawford bulked up too much, that's what slowed him down. guess it also diminished his power, that and the cavernous left field in fenway.
