There is not a bigger walking conflict of interest in the world than Verducci. A complete joke.

I know. I can't believe SI lets him get away with it.

Tomorrow: Essentially a 7-inning game with the Yankees getting an extra at-bat at the beginning. Another Selig triumph.

Fox will love that. Forced to go head-to-head with their Yankee darlings.

I thought it was just the NFL that adopted stupid rules exclusively for the postseason.

You don't pick a game up in the second damn inning. It ain't the Carolina League playoffs.

One thing he can't fuck up is that the owners have made oodles of money under his watch. And that is why he has been commissioner for nearly 20 years.

Buster Olney just pointed out that the Tigers will be stuck with a lineup built to face a left hander and will be facing a right hander.

The only positions it would really affect would be RF Ordonez, 3B Inge, and possibly 2B Raburn.

Fister going tomorrow, Scherzer on Sunday and Verlander on Monday.

Three spots is a significant difference, but the bigger issue is only getting one full start out of Verlander in the series.
