We have Joe West doing playoff games like we have beyond-worthless dead weight like Wally Herger making laws in Washington.

  2. Speaking of Angel Hernandez, he's got the plate for the Phillies/Cards game tonight

Shane Victorino just made what might be the worst throw in MLB history. Played a Lance Berkman drive off the wall, but slipped on the edge of the warning track and threw the ball 10 feet ... backwards.

Pujols made a savvy play to get Utley at third. Utley was stealing second and, on a ground ball to short, Utley tried to advance on the throw to first. Pujols gave up the bag and cut the ball off three steps in front of first so that he could cut down Utley at third.

Great, heads-up play that saved a run as Howard hit a deep fly to center that would have surely brought home Utley on a sacrifice to tie the game.

Serves the Phillies right for starting Oswalt ahead of Worley. Dumb.

  6. I thought it was a head's up, gutsy play from Utley to try that, but even more head's up and gutsy from Pujols to get the out at third.

Who's in the TBS booth for Brewers-D'backs? Sounds like Gary Bender's clone. I'd turn the radio on, but some genius at the WWL had Berman in the booth last night, and I won't talk about that because there may be young, impressionable children reading this board.

(This keeps up, two Game 5's on Friday, plus college football? Thank gawd there's only two local games this week).

If it was Victorino or Rollins it would not have been a heads up or gutsy play.

Looks like we're headed for three Game 5s -- equaling the total number of Game 5s in the past seven years combined.

The broadcasters just said the Arizona-Milwaukee game wasn't a sellout. Really? Are ticket prices incredibly high in the area or something...?

Tampa wasn't a sellout last night either -- the owner did a good amount of bitching about that.
