Maybe playing Game 162 to the hilt and allowing the Cardinals to get into the playoffs wasn't such a smart idea for the Phillies.

Cardinals miss a great chance to blow the game open because LaRussa has the hitter in front of Pujols bunt, taking the bat out of his best hitter's hands.

Not going to see much better pitching than tonight from both starters. A 1-0 final seems appropriate, even if I don't like it.

Any chance Carpenter doesn't pitch the 9th?

It's a shame Doc won't be out there, too.

La Russa is involved, so the chances are pretty decent. Especially if he can wet his pants and pull a double switch.

    Dearest Moddy,

I was born & raised in Brew Town, and I heartily agree. K-Rod + T-Plush can suck my ass. Along with GO GO (the retarded foreigner). I am glad the Sunday game is scheduled to not interfere with my Pack game.

    PS: F*ck Radiohead & Gaga

I'd say if he had Eck or Worrell. But for him to call on Motte i'd think Phils have to get 2 on.

Edit: Worrell i guess was when Whitey was with Cards. couldn't think of Cards closer when they last won WS. damn was it Isringhausen? i remember Weaver came up big in middle innings a couple times.

No one is warming up in the Cardinals' pen now.

Because someone is warming up in the parking lot. Someone is always warming up for Tony.

Not sure why but I want to see the Phillies win. pretty much don't root for any Philly teams and especially don't like the Eagles. people i know from the area are Eagles and Phillies fans but just seems like they're more obnoxious when it comes to the Iggles. maybe Manuel is just a likeable guy also.
