Ahhh! Max Scherzer is a scary freakshow!

If the Cubs agree to take John Lackey the Sox will let Epstein go.

Rangers blow it open with 9-run 3rd. Hasta la vista Tigres.

That happened fast, didn't it? Scherzer even got the first guy of the inning, Kinsler, to ground out. Then neither he nor anyone else Leyland brought in could get anybody out.

The dying-quail flare by Hamilton seemed to completely unhinge Scherzer. Minutes later, it was over.

I was not able to see the first few innings because I was covering something.

The only thing I can think of in comparison is that it's like watching a NASCAR running on seven cylinders for a few laps, then blow up, spin in its own oil, crash into the fence and start on fire.

The camera angles FOX uses are really cool. They give so many different looks and I love their slow motion shots.

Agreed. That shot with the guy with the Texas state flag and the Rangers celebrating was incredible.

Tangent: I'm glad they got rid of that ridiculous camera they used in the All-Star games that was inserted like three feet out in front of home plate in the ground. It served absolutely no purpose. Also: catcher cam was cool, but the catcher had like 70 pounds of equipment on his mask.

Another tangent: The camera view I miss is the overhead camera over the plate, but I think the umpires hated being second-guessed so much that they got all of those banished from telecasts or something. They were all over the place in the 1990s and then -- poof! -- they disappeared.

In honor of Nelson Cruz's HR giving the Rangers an 11-run lead, I showed him that number with my fingers. You guess which ones.

And apparently, Al Alburquerque has something to say about the end of the series as well.

What's the record for runs scored in a postseason game?
