I overdid it last night with the Rangers win. Ugh.

Can Pujols leave the Cardinals without looking like a masive, greedy SOB if St. Louis wins the World Series?

It'd be like what LeBron faced in his final season in Cleveland.

If they win a second World Series in six years, I say go get paid. He's given St. Louis plenty and shouldn't feel bad about maximizing his next (and probably last) contract.

Home runs are more easily hitin this game than they were in easy mode of World Series Baseball on Sega Genesis. And that was mighty easy.

    This. Is. Nuts.

Six home runs in 2-plus innings.

Are they playing at Coors? Jesus. (though I'm LOVING it. As a non-fan of baseball, I prefer 14-12 games every time.)

Imagine getting tickets for this one and having to sit underneath the TBS erector set stage.

Two errors on one play by Hairston. That should go on every "DON'T EVER DO THIS" video ever made.

Different sport. And he's not from St. Louis, which was a huge part of it with LeBron. And he won't be dumb enough to host "The Decision."

I'm sure you'll hear some, "How much money does he need???!!!???" talk. But, first of all, OK, well how much money do the Cardinals owners need?????!!!??? that they can't pony up to keep him? Second of all, as I heard Tom Izzo once explain it, every cool million you can squeeze out just set another family member, present or future, up if not for life then for quite a while. And, finally, taking less money sets a bad precedent. Superstars need to use their leverage to the hilt so that lesser paid players can do the same.

I would say LaRussa could rest his frontline relievers for Game 1 of the World Series with this lead, but A) He's Tony LaRussa and he can't help but wear out a bullpen and B) this game is far from over in this ballpark.
