    I don't know if I agree with McCarver. Single ties it, but double and you lose. That ball was hit pretty hard and might get through a CF playing in.

    With the pitcher already hitting, I like my chances if I'm Texas.

    Not to be overlooked, whitlock tweeting sympathy for the poor newspaper folks who won't get this in the paper, and kindred responding that the talented ones will figure it out.

    I'd play the defense they had and hope my pitcher can get one out. I don't think either play is right or wrong and it's basically a judgement call. But personally I would have done the same.
