I just don't understand this criticism. Feliz has not thrown more than 35 pitches this year, and that was on June 21. Mostly lately, he has been around 15-20. He threw, what? Twenty-five last night? Oliver had a 2.29 ERA this year - better than Feliz.

Why was it such a slam-dunk to stay with Feliz in that situation?

Blame whomever you want, but the Rangers were not prepared for the biggest game of their lives.

Not exactly sure how that relates to YGBFKM's post about how the Cardinals winning would be "dull."

It certainly is what FOX and the broadcasters seem to want to happen.

Kneeling before Pujols and opening wide to send him off the free agency with the biggest BJ in history.

You have a rooting interest, I don't. Carpenter's not giving anything else up. Of course, LaRussa could still outsmart himself...

No, I'm agree with you, it's been a great series, much better than I thought. Now, this game, if it were any dryer, we could make martinis!

More often than not, managers don't recover from hack jobs like this.

1985: Gene Mauch fired by the Angels after one more season
1986: John McNamara fired by the Red Sox after 1 1/2 more seasons
1987: Sparky Anderson remained another eight seasons
1995: Marcel Lachemann fired by the Angels the next season (replaced by McNamara)
2007: Willie Randolph fired by the Mets half a season later
2011: Terry Francona's character besmirched by the Red Sox a week later

Umm, they led 2-0 in the 1st. Sometimes a pitcher just doesn't pitch well and costs his team the game.

CRAP. I had him in mind twice (2002 AND 2003) and forgot. Thanks.
