I'll tell you what I know about baseball. More than I know about football. :D :D :D

Harrison wasn't good, but he wasn't that terrible.

The bigger problem is that the Rangers' bats disappeared after that first inning.

To me, the Rangers just looked like they didn't want to be there once things started going the Cardinals' way. And I drop into the baseball thread up to four times a season, so I know what I'm talking about!

Like I've had many baseball people tell me over the years, teams always look like that when they don't hit.

Feliz was a starting pitcher in the minors. You can also question why Koji Uehara (a closer in Japan whom they went out and traded for at the deadline) was left off the roster and shitballer/mop-up man Feldman was kept.

How relevant is that now, though? Honest question. I personally think it doesn't really matter if he isn't stretched out at this point.

I don't doubt that you questioned the change at the time. It was questionable. As would have been keeping Feliz in, however.

Doesn't feel like a slam dunk one way or the other. And absolutely not a fireable offense.

Did you watch the ALCS? Uehara was horrendous. Feldman was lights out.

    Now it's over.

Add another team and a list of individuals I absolutely fucking loathe to the fire.

I can't imagine what it's like to be a Texas Ranger right now. World Series in the bag. Twice. And now you are going to go home without a ring for the second straight October.

That being said, I don't think there's anyone to blame. It's baseball. It's a short series. It happens.

Agreed. But Ron Washington had plenty of other blunders this postseason, even in the series he won.

If George Steinbrenner owned the Rangers, would Ron Washington be retained after this? If Mark Cuban were the owner, would Ron Washington be retained?

Last year, they got outpitched, and everything Bochy touched turned to gold. This year, it looks like the Cardinals wanted it more and got the breaks.
