I don't get the "too many bowls" argument.

    Let the market decide.

It doesn't hurt anything. It doesn't hurt the integrity of the sport to have extra exhibition games. I guess you could argue that bowl games should be an honor, but these programs know which bowls are for real and which ones are just extra practice time.

That's because Georgia's not as good as Baylor and is ranked accordingly.

I think VT was as much of a travesty as anyone after the egg they laid in Charlotte. But for once, the Hokies actually helped the Hoos out. A New Year's Eve game against the defending national championships is pretty good for where UVa started the year, and it's better than the Music City Bowl against a Mississippi State team with a 2-6 conference record.

Half game better than Baylor in what is allegedly a tougher conference. Rankings only a few numbers apart. I think most people who aren't trying the tired routine of trashing Boise would consider Baylor and Georgia on the same level.

I think you stretch the definition of "trashing."

This is where the whole argument loses me about what the best wins are ... because how can ANYONE arrive at any such conclusion about that, or about Arkansas or K-State being a bigger feather in the cap, or anything of the sort?

And the faulty logic award once again goes to Dick. Are you somehow under the impression that Boise has a choice in the matter? It's the PAC-12 that won't take Boise, not vice versa.

Boise does what is within it's power by scheduling up and traveling to play the likes of Georgia, Virginia Tech, Oregon, and Washington year after year--AND consistently kicking their asses. They've shown a helluva lot more courage in their non-conference scheduling that the BCS power teams do. They've done what is within their power, and it's certainly not their fault that a power conference won't take them as a new member.

It's not that it's a bigger feather. It's the fact it's the ONLY feather.

    One win isn't enough.

    Keep trying then.

And don't lose to TCU at home.

Tell that to Kansas State's 1998 team, whose punishment for losing the Big 12 championship in double OT was falling from the national championship game to the Alamo Bowl.

And folks will continue to take this bullshit as long as said bullshit proves more financially lucrative for their schools and conferences than any other system. These snubbed schools are crying all the way to the bank.

According to the latest BCS rankings Alabama beat three ranked teams and OSU beat four. Arkansas ranks higher than K-State.

    It's a wash.

If it's a wash then there is no incorrect choice.
