Been quite a few of those this bowl season ... don't think they're targeting the TPSU game.

Has nothing to do with the football, anyway.

Regardless of how bad the football is.

I know the Pac 12 doesn't want it's teams to overlap. They want the Rose Bowl to be the big Jan. 1 showcase. Pre-BCS it was extremely rare for more than one Pac-10 team to play on New Year's Day. The TV window being what it is - most western teams play later in the day making a 10 a.m. start for the Holiday just not feasible.

Couple of nice plays by PSU there ... great punt return brought back, diving catch for MooMoo Smith and then that direct snap/fake for the TD.

Felt a slight pulse from the corpse.

    This.

Heading to a watering hole to watch the Rose Bowl, appointment viewing since I was 8 years old. They're actually a client of ours -- anyone interested in doing a piece on the $152 million renovation of the iconic stadium?

It's a good story, especially when compared to the abomination that befell Soldier Field. "The Eyesore on Lake Shore" (as one Tribune writer called it) was so bad that it got the stadium's National Historic Landmark status yanked.

It's a good, out-of-the-box story. And the game should be one of the best of the season.

Me, I'm sick of the AFLAC Heisman commercials. I've seen them three times in the past five minutes. Guys, they gave the award a month ago. Get some new material.

Well, don't bury the Big 10 just yet, ESPN commentators (shown on ABC).

Michigan State gets a pick, then powers it into the end zone behind Bell. Sparty gets the 2-pointer to make it 16-8 midway through the third.

Fat 10 showin' us why they're the Fat 10 today. That said I think Wisconsin, which is the only Fat 10 team with any kind of speed, beats or at least hangs with Oregon today.

Wisconsin's D blows though. MSU put 30 points on them twice this season, imagine what the Ducks will do.
