Difference is, we already know which one-loss team is proven to be lesser to LSU. Would have been nice to see if LSU was better than the other one too. Instead we're stuck with another crappy tacklefest.

She seems to get bigger every year. She used to be on the stage but Fiesta Bowl insurance
agent would not allow it this year.

We talked about this several years ago after an Alabama-Tennessee game.

OSU's WR clearly takes his helmet off on the field of play after he thinks he's scored. That's supposed to be an automatic 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Can such obvious penalties be called on review?

    No. Penalties are not reviewable.

Should be, since that's not a judgment call like interference or holding. Pretty clear cut that should be a penalty.

After a mind-numbing 12 hours of watching college football, I can safely say the following:

Case Keenum is the real deal. I know Penn State's defense isn't exactly the '86 Bears, but that was a passing clinic.

If I was a Nebraska football player, I would have handed in my jersey at halftime today.

Ohio State/Florida was the most boring one touchdown game in the history of college football.

Mark Richt should never have went to the Bielema-Miles Academy for Clock Management.

DeAnthony Thomas is real FUCKING fast. (I know I said it earlier, but that 91-yard run was over in a blink.)

Brandon Weeden looks like Opie Taylor.

Then you could include most facemasks as well.

After the first two BCS bowls, I can't imagine how anyone could be excited for the next two dogs - Michigan-Va Tech, WVU-Clemson.

I mean, seriously, the talent, skill, speed and athleticism on the field in both the Rose Bowl and Fiesta Bowl was unbelievable, especially at the quarterback position in terms of the talent and accuracy of all four passers, and these next two games will not come close to matching these two - and I think the LSU-ALabama game will struggle to as well.

Friend of mine was at the Rose Bowl columnizing. She said that Bielema didn't ask for the time out on the goal line call; that the refs charged him with it while he was asking for an explanation.

That said, the spike at the end of the game was mind-boggling.

And was it me, or was Montee Ball's 164-yard game rather uninspiring? With few exceptions, every run seemed to be a scrum up the middle.

It's obvious Blackmon is ready for the NFL; he doesn't do anything that isn't punctuated with an about-face toward the stands and a couple of look-at-me gyrations. Enjoy Cleveland.
