Over thinking it IMO. Carolina hired a defensive-minded HC in Ron Rivera, same with Detroit and Jim Schwartz. Also, considering all that goes into being a head coach, is it really good to have that coach dedicating so much time and resources towards a rookie QB?

The one risk/downside is that you can potentially lose that offensive coordinator for a head job if they do well and create a Sam Bradford type of situation.

    Interesting fact:

Rex Ryan, Marvin Lewis, Mike Nolan and now Pagano were all former Ravens defensive coordinators. So, what does this mean? BE A DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR FOR THE RAVENS.

I wonder if Pagano will trade the Luck pick in order to restock the Colts' woeful defensive roster?

I would wonder if Pagano will have much say in the matter.

Add Del Rio who was the LB coach in Baltimore.

I guess they want to make the Raheem Morris hire look like a good decision by comparison.

Disagree. Raheem was a position coach with little experience. Schiano has been very good head coach and coordinator for over a decade.

The last few years, Schiano has been the college coach most "experts" believed would make a good NFL coach. We're about to find out.

Al Groh to Rutgers since they need DC as well as HC?

Actually, that's been Kirk Ferentz for about a decade... :D

Schiano does have NFL experience... So we'll see...
