Miami always seems to be the best job open, and then the job is open again 2-3 years later, or at least it seems that way...

I would think the Colts job would be the best, assuming the coach would be able to handle the Manning-Luck situation.

  4. Leslie Frazier is frustrating me to no end.
As much as I think he deserves a chance to have a real offseason with OTAs, camp, etc., and not be judged on one bad season ... this team has blown a lot of winnable games.
Despite all the glaring deficiencies, especially on the o-line and in the secondary, there is a lot of individual talent on that roster. Enough to be a Super Bowl contender? No. Hell no. But more than enough to be in the wild card race. Definitely enough to win more than two games.
I don't think he'll be fired, but it would not surprise me if he was.

The thing about Miami is that Sporano was hired by the previous regime. Ross didn't have control then. He wants his own guy. Same thing that's going to happen to Spagnuolo.

Frazier and Garrett are the latest examples of interim coaches getting the full time gig not really solving the problem. I understand both teams think they are "close" or maybe they are, and only needed a tweak to be successful. But elevating an interim coach kind of defeats the purpose of a coaching change - developing a new culture. There is a big difference between a head coach and an assistant. Assistants are resources for the players, they work with them one on one and are buffers between the players and the head coach.
And then you get into relationships with the rest of the coaching staff. Bill Parcells - though he was never an interim since Perkins wasn't fired but left on his own - was elevated in the off-season.

I wonder if Jones makes a move if he thinks Rob Ryan is about to leave.

Probably not, but it would be funny if he made his HC in waiting like he did with Garrett.

The Colts would not be 6-10 with a healthy Manning. They may not be 12-4 but they'd be over .500.

The defense has been bad for years and he got to the super bowl with guys like pierre turgeon and Austin 316 Collie at receiver.

It is amazing how many deficiencies on that team Manning actually hid

Yeah, I would have guessed 10-6 if he was healthy.

Just a rumor, but amazing that this guy is even mentioned...

Some schools/teams would be majorly pissed off if a coach left after just one year. Why do I have the feeling the Maryland fanbase would offer to book his flight out of there?

There is no way Raheem Morris will be back next year.

I'll provide him whatever mode of transportation he wants, be it limo, taxi, plane, train, or even rickshaw. No fare is too great. No accommodation too unreasonable.

I could have the money raised in no time.
