Rick Barry also earns bonus points for producing THREE NBA playing sons, not just one. The dad was one of game's greatest ever, two of his sons (Brent and Jon) had very solid 14 year NBA careers, a third son (Drew) also played a few years in the League, and oh yeah, a fourth son (Scooter) started at Kansas and played on their 88 National Championship team.

Apparently Rick was an all timer asshole, but the man certainly carried elite hoops genetic seed.

I covered Jon Barry and he was the opposite of his dad. A nice guy to be around. Good to see him having a lot of success with ESPN on their game broadcasts.

Scooter was also really nice when I met him as a kid. I took my little sister, who was 3 or 4 at the time, to get his autograph the fall after they won the title. She said "hi Mr. Scooper Strawberry" and he laughed liked crazy, picked her up and gave her a hug and signed as much stuff as we wanted.

Larry Brown's dream of an NBA game in the 30s may yet happen.

Are we sure Geno wasn't talking about the NBA?

Trigger happy refs hand out horseshit technicals all year. Good for the league.

Has something like this ever happened before? Rajon Rondo's FT % by year since he entered the NBA:

    .647
    .611
    .642
    .621
    .568
    .597
    .645
    .627
    .375

That's almost Knoblauchian. His other shooting percentages aren't all that different from previous years.

If New Orleans wins tonight, every team from the Southwest Division would qualify for the playoffs.
