Getting yelled at for not running out every pop-up gets tired by about age 11.

Baron sure would be a hoot as a coach, though.

That's the one I was thinking of. That fight was in the 10th inning. The Reds were leading with two outs in the ninth when Dave Parker dropped a routine fly in right field* which kept the Mets alive.

Knight and Mitchell were ejected, then the Mets ran out of position players, and used Orosco and McDowell in the outfield (one pitched, while the other fielded) and Carter was put at third base.

The brawl also ended George Foster's career with the Mets for all intents and purposes because he sat in the dugout through the whole thing and refused to help them.

Carlton Fisk vs. Lou Piniella. Bill Lee gets hurt by Nettles and was never really the same pitcher again.

I find Baron advocating for an employee to work hard a refreshing change.

My thought is: Harper is a PROFESSIONAL and paid like one. Give a 100%. 99.99% is not good enough, even if your team is out of it. I don't like Papelbon, but, yeah, I could see someone criticizing a lack of hustle by anyone.

There is a difference between "running it out" and sprinting. No one is saying he should be pulling into second by the time the ball comes down, but rounding first seems reasonable.
