Paulo Orlando has five major league hits. Four of them are triples.

No, really, where's your proof? You being so big on proof and all, I think we all assume you know something we don't.

Or maybe you're just full of shit as usual.

Of course they're fucking lying. Just like every other team that does it. But again, where's you proof?

So, you agree with me. Not that your opinion means much, but thank you.

It's quite clear that the saddest thing about A-Rod's comeback is how badly the Yankees need it.

That's the even crazier thing. Right now, he's carrying them offensively. If you would have made a list of their players at the beginning of the season in order of the likelihood that they would be their best hitter, he would have been sixth or seventh on the list.

I hope when he hits 660 he does the Johnny Football finger-rub all the way around the bases.

Bryce Harper just hit a home run that damn near cleared the batter's eye at Nats Park.

I mean, you have to admit, OOP, given your demands for somehow better proof of Braun's guilt than a failed drug test, it seems odd for you to come down hard on the Cubs for their bullshit without any proof otherwise.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say oop does not admit it.

I didn't come down on them. Please go back and read the entire post, not just the part A_QB bolded.

What I said was that teams have found a way to game the system and the MLBPA should challenge it in the next collective bargaining process if not sooner. I also said that the MLBPA failed the players by allowing this loophole to exist.

If you would like to argue that the Cubs were being honest when they claimed Bryant needed those extra two weeks in the minors, be my guest. I have yet to engage anyone in discussion of the topic who believes that, but there is an argument to be made. Otherwise, you are just piling on for the sake of starting an argument rather than furthering the discussion. I'm not really interested in arguing with people who agree with me, which A_QB clearly does.

But let's be clear, I'm not calling for any action to be taken against the Cubs or any other organization that has taken similar actions with prospects. I am not saying they should be punished or their reputations tarnished.

If you don't think people toss around accusations regarding PED abuse too casually here and elsewhere, which was the point I was making in those Braun discussions, then I can't help you. Some people just refuse to see reason on that point.

I did question the Pirates' handling of Polanco last season in my post, but they didn't just hold him back two weeks, they waited until June to push back the clock on arbitration as well as free agency. That is different from what the Cubs did with Bryant.
