Nats score 13 runs in back-to-back games for the first time in franchise history. They might be watchable again!

Last game of the home stand before hitting the road for the next six games, it looks like A-Rod was pressing for #660. Went 0-for-6 with 4 strikeouts and a game-ending GIDP.

Yesterday was the worst time to win the 13-run pool.

There was at least one O's fan in Camden Yards yesterday. My wife's cousin is an EMT who scored the plum gig of field medic for the afternoon. Quite a bit better than driving around the city I would guess.

Is it too late to blame Dusty for this?

Interesting nugget I heard today ... Until the Cubs called up Addison Russell (born 1/23/1994) last week, the youngest player in the National League was Bryce Harper (born 10/16/1992).

Harper debuted with the Nationals April 28, 2012, which is now more than three years ago. I think critics forget sometimes how young Harper still is because he's been in the bigs for so long.

I still don't think Harper has faced a pitcher younger than him at any professional level, though that could change in June when the Nationals play the Blue Jays, who have two 20-year-old relievers.

Yeah, that blew me away too. Hard to believe a guy who's a three-year vet was still the youngest player in the league.

A-Rod ties Mays. As a pinch hitter.

First career HR as a pinch hitter, apparently.

With the Royals' suspensions, Chris Young got the start tonight and threw five no-hit innings and struck out nine. Came out after five because he pitched in relief a couple days ago.
