Allen has to be back in time for FSU in Tallahassee. That's a graveyard for Duke teams, for some reason, and K knows it. Plus, this FSU team is sneaky good. Best since 2011-12.

How did Texas become the place good coaches go to die? Shaka Smart might be working on following Charlie Strong out the door with a loss at home to Kent State tonight. Texas looks like it's easily the worst team in the Big 12.

Any decade now, Texas is going to convert on that potential as an up-and-coming program.

This Wake-FSU game is a fun back-and-forth affair so far.

That sucks. UT-Arlington was celebrating that as its biggest win ever.

Nebraska beats Indiana in Indiana. End of days?

Indiana only shows up against ranked teams.

    Tom Crean being Tom Crean.

He deserves credit for reviving the program after the Kelvin Sampson fiasco, but how much longer can they continue to let him (pretend to) coach?

As a native Kansan, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Mizzou has now lost to NC Central, Eastern Illinois and Lipscomb at The Plaige.

They won the Big Ten last year and beat Kentucky in the tournament. He wins just frequently enough and just big enough to survive.

As an alum, I will add that freshman Willie Jackson left school and will become the 13th player to transfer in Kim Anderson's 2 1/2 years on the job.

But at least we don't have to worry about Anderson getting hired away!
