Yeah, I think the Hokies would have to play their way out, not in. @Louisville is the only game they have left where I don't give them a shot, although Miami plays well at home. They don't have to see UNC, Duke or Notre Dame again.

I admit to being a UVA skeptic after Nichols got kicked off the team, and they still don't really pass the eye test for me as an elite team. Maybe I've just been spoiled by watching Malcolm Brogdon the last three years. But damn if they're not rounding into form. Devon Hall and Isaiah Wilkins are both playing at an all-ACC level right now, and with Perrantes being Perrantes, that's a pretty good foundation. And I never thought Ty Jerome, of all people, would be this good this quickly. Depth and talent in the post will continue to be an issue, but if those four stay at their level of play (or, say, Marial Shayok finds some consistency) they have a Final Four ceiling.

If nothing else, Jerome's emergence has me feeling good about the post-Perrantes era.

One of my co-workers is a huge UVa fan ... asked her the other day how people would feel about Ty Jerome if he played at Duke. I postulated that he would be instantly hated. But at UVa, he's fine. (I quite admire his moxie, FWIW.)

Jerome wasn't a burger boy, so if he went to Duke, he'd be on the scout team with Antonio Vrankovic and Jack White and pundits would be lauding K for winning without any depth.

I think your assessment is correct on how he would be perceived, by the way. And I can produce text message records from the first half of the Villanova game that show me saying "The stones on this kid!"

Ty Jerome is a quarter black, why would people hate him if he played for Duke. :)

Kyle Guy on the other hand...

Career win No. 1,000 for Stanford's Tara VanDerveer tonight. Only other members of the 1,000-win club are Pat Summitt and Coach K.

Looks like Syracuse being Tony Bennett's kryptonite is officially a thing. Fuck this!

Arkansas just fucked itself right out of the tournament as Mike Anderson goes back to Mizzou and lays down a steaming turd. Tigers had lost 13 straight.

    I watched this game.

I prematurely bemoaned how much it was going to fuck VCU for an at-large.

Then all of a sudden I saw JeQuan Lewis up there taking a free throw.

It was a bullshit call. VCU stole one. You can argue letter of the law all you want but the fans thought the cl0ck was at 0.0. That's not how a game should end.

And I'm a VCU fan saying this.

So other than Nos. 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9 losing, anything happen today?
