Give us three or four bids a year, let us claim Kentucky at the same time we hate them, and the SEC will be happy to cede basketball superiority to the ACC, Big Ten and Big 12. Hell, it's winter for nine months out of the year in most of Big Ten country. They've got a lot of time to spend indoors practicing basketball. They should be good at it.
The SEC as a whole has rarely claimed to be the best basketball league in the country. Even in good years it's almost always a top-heavy league.
Outside of Kentucky, in most years basketball season in the SEC is a way to pass the time between football and baseball seasons.

Mizzou needs to put out or get out. Same could be said for Vandy.

It's hard to tell what Tom Izzo has more contempt for here, Dan Dakich or social media 'controversies,' but it's pretty rare that he'd call someone out like this if they don't deserve it.

I actually watch Mizzou quite a bit this year on SEC Network.

Can't believe I'm writing this -- the last three, except for that Florida debacle -- they've played pretty well.

Maybe if he spent more time coaching his team than worrying about Twitter he wouldn't be on the verge of missing the NCAA tournament.

For what it's worth, Dakich was apparently searching his own name on Twitter and going after MSU fans who had mentioned him.

"Some of the tweets sent by the elder Dakich, a former player and coach at Indiana, called MSU fans whiners. One said “MSU always worried about UM.” Another accused a Twitter user of only going to MSU because he did not get into Michigan. And many others." - from a Freep article on it

Dakich's kid plays for Michigan (he's redshirting).

Also, Dakich apparently was booked to do at least one Detroit-area radio show today and canceled at the last minute.

I'm a Michigan fan but Izzo is rarely on the wrong side of these sorts of issues.

Awesome. I've seen the rolling-ball play blow up four or five times in my life and it's always hilarious.

Wouldn't put it past Wimp to have plowed a furrow or two in his early days. Bear was a proper married man after all.
