Mad that UCLA called a late timeout in the last game. UCLA was up 5 with 2 seconds to go.

My point wasn't that Duke has a bad resume at this point, it's that ESPN sets up its top college basketball studio show to be "Dukies talkin' Duke" to the point they don't even seem to realize the injury argument also applies to Oregon.

American Athletic Conference semi between SMU and UCF slightly better attended but not much this p.m. Maybe Hartford authorities opened up the arena as an emergency warming shelter to cope with the weekend cold snap.

It *is* too fucking much when both Williams and Jack Bannon's doppleganger are covering a Duke game.

What, they have no other talent to work the set when Duke plays?

That said, the Duke-UNC game last night was pretty good.

LOL they paid all that money for SEC hoops just to show Kentucky 15 times this year to have footage for the 30 for 30. Knew something was up when they had the split screen of him next to live action so many times.

An ESPN panel containing neither Bilas nor Williams just discussed the topic "If Duke wins tonight, are they a one seed?" It's a like a sickness with them.

The SWAC exists in its own parallel dimension, where normal rules and common sense don't apply. I think they started allowing NCAA-ineligible teams compete after they had something like four of the 10 teams in the league on some form of probation.

And speaking of the SWAC, is Mike Davis the coaching version of Benjamin Button?
Most coaches start off at a SWAC-like school, move up to the mid-major, and then get the shot and find success at the big-time program. Davis started off by taking Indiana to the championship game, sort of flamed out at UAB, and now is having a lot of success with Texas Southern. If they get a 15-seed, IIRC it'll be the first time since 1993 (when Southern knocked off Georgia Tech) that the SWAC representative in the tournament has not been a 16-seed.

Is it not a question worth discussing?
