    Emphasis on "seed".

The Cubs' bullpen managed quite the meltdown just now. The first 11 batters in the eighth inning reached as the Cardinals scored nine runs to erase a 3-2 deficit. That will likely end the Cubs' six-game winning streak since the All-Star break.

So, Cubs are leader in the clubhouse in Yu Darvish talks.

Sabathia gets win No. 232 tonight. How close can he get to 300?

    Not very I would think.

Agreed. This has been a nice rebound, but Sabathia is 37 years old. I guess 250 is in range, but 300 is not.

Unless he decides to retire after this year, which considering how good it is going this year isn't likely, 250 is a lock.

It's gonna be a while before another pitcher approaches 300. But people were saying that before Randy Johnson too. You never know. But Sabathia will have to catch a crazy career second wind to get close.

I don't know if I'd consider 250 a lock. What happens if he comes out next season and has a repeat of 2015?

If he averages 16 wins over the next 10 years, it's impossible not to get there.
